Facing a decline in funding, the Centre de prévention du suicide de Québec (CPSQ) launched a video campaign to highlight its mission and raise awareness of its essential services. The goal was to move away from traditional prevention messaging and instead encourage people to contact the Centre at the very first signs of distress—whether they are experiencing it themselves or witnessing it in others.
Titled "Les maux invisibles" (Invisible Ills), the video features three scenes where suffering is expressed with subtlety, allowing viewers to identify with the characters without relying on overly explicit depictions. The piece is driven by a cover of Jean Leloup’s song Sang d’encre, whose lyrics resonate deeply and accurately with the CPSQ’s mission.
